Method and limitations
- Registered foreigners are the latest month of the Ministry of Justice “Monthly registered foreigners by city/county/district” (data.go.kr 15100022). Short-term visitors and overseas Koreans with residence reports are not included.
- Clinics, pharmacies, and opening hours by day come from the National Medical Center nationwide clinic and pharmacy data. Sunday and holiday counts only include institutions that registered those hours, so the real numbers may be higher.
- Foreign-patient facilities are clinics and hospitals whose name and province match the Korea Health Industry Development Institute registration list (agencies excluded). Registration means the institution may treat foreign patients; it does not guarantee interpretation.
- Cities with districts (Suwon, Yongin, etc.) are combined at the city level. Addresses in the merged Jeonnam-Gwangju special city are split into Gwangju (autonomous districts) and Jeonnam (cities and counties).
